PANLAR Fellowship Program: Call for applications

29 Marzo 2022

PANLAR Fellowship Program aims to allocate resources for the creation of new training positions. It will sponsor up to 10 new positions distributed over rheumatology training centers in 10 different cities of the region.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Available to rheumatology training centers in PANLAR member countries. The training center must be endorsed by the national society or association of the country to which it belongs.
  • Resources are allocated specifically for new positions in the selected training programs (expansion). For programs starting in 2023.
  • Resources will be allocated annually (US$5,000) for a total of US$10,000 for each training center over a two-year period, to be used solely for the fellow’s salary support. It may not be used for other items such as research, consumables, etc.

Note: for centers where students are required to pay tuition, the scholarship may be used for this purpose.

  • A progress report (including a financial report) will be requested for the renewal of the fellowship for the second year. A final report will also be required at the end of the funding period. Interruptions during this period will require immediate written notification to PANLAR and may impact the funding awarded.

The fellowship application must include:

  1. Endorsement of the National Society of Rheumatology
  2. A letter from the training program of the applicant training center assuring that this will be a new position in the training program. (Note: if 10 fellows are trained annually, the center must certify that position number 11 will be opened).
