Paper prepared at a consensus meeting, made up of representatives of 18 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, and held for two days in Reñaca, Chile, in order to identify problems and develop recommendations for the care of patients with arthritis Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Latin America; A region where poverty and the existence of other health priorities make it difficult to provide effective and quality care. This consensus includes recommendations for health professionals, patients and health authorities in Latin America, with an emphasis on education and therapeutic alternatives.
