Introduction
The Pan American League of Associations of Rheumatology (PANLAR) is pleased to announce its recent strategic alliance with AiRA (AI Rheumatology Alliance), an international, multidisciplinary consortium that brings together rheumatologists, data scientists, ethicists, and patients to build methodological standards for the responsible use of artificial intelligence in our specialty.
Within the framework of this collaboration, PANLAR has been invited to nominate one senior member to directly join the AiRA Scientific Panel. This strategic position will grant our organization a direct voice in the consortium’s scientific and methodological direction globally.

Purpose of the Position
The PANLAR senior representative will act as the primary scientific liaison, actively participating in the validation and design of international guidelines on AI-ready clinical data, methodological reporting standards, data governance, and federated validation studies (with a special emphasis on rare and complex rheumatic diseases).

Profile Requirements
Applicants must meet the following fundamental requirements:
- Senior Career Path: Be an active rheumatologist with a solid and recognized track record in clinical research, scientific publications, or academic leadership within PANLAR.
- Technological and Methodological Affinity: Possess demonstrable experience or a strong interest in the development of data registries, medical informatics, digital health, or the use/evaluation of Artificial Intelligence tools in the healthcare field.
- English Language Proficiency: Full fluency (written and spoken), as it is the official language for work, debates, and publications of the international consortium.
- Time Availability: Ability to participate in regular meetings of the Scientific Panel, as well as in the review of the consortium's projects and reports.

Valued Skills
It will be considered a valuable asset if the candidate possesses knowledge or experience in:
- Research reporting standards and predictive models (e.g., TRIPOD-AI, CONSORT-AI, SPIRIT-AI, or similar).
- Clinical data governance, bioethics, or international digital health regulations (such as GDPR or medical software frameworks).
- Design of multi-center consortia or validation studies of phenotypic data.
